Can we create our own design and send it to you for print?

Sharing information about the logistics of teams designing their own gear (on our templates), and having us print the files.

Short answer: Yes, but there are a few important things to check before we can bring it to life on your gear.

Working with a friend who designed your artwork shows creativity and team spirit, we love that. We’re happy to review and print designs provided by you, as long as they meet our production standards.

Because we’re producing high-performance team gear using technical printing methods, your design needs to meet certain quality and format standards to ensure a clean, professional result. The last thing we would want is for you to provide a file with high expectations, and for that not to be possible to meet during the production process.

Here’s what we look for:

  • File format and quality: your design should be in a vector format (.ai, .eps, or properly exported .pdf). Vector files scale cleanly and ensure sharp lines and logos at any size.
  • Colour consistency: our printing process translates colours from screen to fabric, so having pantone references or accurate colour guides helps ensure your team colours print correctly.
  • Print-ready layout: use our design templates or follow our garment layout guidelines. This ensures important details fall within safe zones and everything aligns correctly during production. Our team will always review your design, and be on hand to help adjust proportions as needed to help make sure it achieves the best possible result once printed.
  • Usage rights: if your friend used stock images, fonts, or artwork, make sure you have permission to use them for printing, especially if you plan to sell or distribute the gear.
  • Proofing time: designs from external sources often need a few extra checks. Sending your artwork early helps us keep your delivery on schedule.

If the file isn’t print-ready

If the file your friend made doesn’t meet our production standards, no worries! We’ll help guide you through your options.

  1. Vector conversion: we can help redraw your design into a production-ready format.
  2. Design touch-up: our in-house team can adjust layout, colours, and proportions to fit your chosen garment.
  3. Re-design: if necessary, our designers can recreate your idea from scratch, keeping your original concept as inspiration.

The bottom line

Submitting your own team’s design is totally fine, and we’re excited to see what you’ve created. Just make sure your artwork meets our print requirements and doesn’t include another brand’s material.

If you’re unsure, send the file our way. We’ll review it, offer feedback, and make sure your design looks incredible once it hits the field.
